Fifth and sixth grade science students learned about the barn owl during the first month of school. They learned about their habitat, food web, and adaptations. Students dissected a virtual owl pellet before dissecting the real owl pellet. They learned the names of many bones, the shapes of different bones based on their function in the body, and how the vole skeleton is very similar to our own.
